Mini Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition Lands At Rs 62.90 Lakh: Paint And Wheels, No More
Mini has launched the Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition in India at Rs 62.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The limited edition, which arrives as a fully imported CBU, is bookable only via the Mini India website. Deliveries have begun today, and it slots above both the standard Cooper Convertible and the JCW Pack version.
What was announced
Mini India has priced the Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition at Rs 62.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The car comes to India as a completely built-up unit and is sold only through the Mini India website. Deliveries commenced on 29 July 2026.
Rs 3.9 lakh over the standard Convertible buys paint, wheels and a Union Jack roof, not a single mechanical change.

The Stardust Edition is distinguished by a Sparkling Copper Grey exterior with Vibrant Silver ORVM caps, aerodynamically optimised 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke alloys in Vibrant Silver, and a soft top carrying the Union Jack graphic. The electrically operated roof opens fully in 18 seconds and closes in 15 seconds, and can be operated at speeds of up to 30kph. Boot space is 160 litres with the roof stowed and 215 litres with it raised. The powertrain and mechanical package carry over from the standard Cooper Convertible with no changes.
The Car Jury verdict
The Stardust Edition is a paint-and-trim job dressed up as an occasion. Rs 3.9 lakh over the base Convertible, and Rs 1.4 lakh over the JCW Pack, buys you Sparkling Copper Grey paint, silver ORVM caps, 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke wheels and a Union Jack soft top. There is no mechanical upgrade, no added performance, nothing that changes how the car drives. As Faisal Khan of FasBeam observed of the base car's origins, this is not something Mini engineered in from the start; it is a sticker exercise layered on a 2020-generation product.
Buyers cross-shopping this against a Mercedes A-Class or a used 2 Series convertible should recognise what they are paying for: exclusivity through configurator, nothing more. If you already wanted the Convertible in this colour, fine. If you are being talked into the Stardust badge as an upgrade, walk to the standard car and pocket the Rs 3.9 lakh.
