What was announced

Tata Motors announced its Onam 2026 festive campaign on 7 August 2026, offering customer benefits of up to ₹2.25 lakh across its passenger vehicle portfolio in Kerala. The offer stack combines cash discounts, exchange bonuses, corporate benefits and finance schemes, and is paired with priority delivery slots for the festive period leading into Onam.

The real Onam prize is the cash on the bonnet of a Curvv EV or Harrier EV, not a camouflage decal on a Nexon.

Three limited editions have been launched alongside the offers. The Sierra Jubilee Edition marks the return of the Sierra nameplate with unique festive styling cues; the Nexon CAMO Edition brings a camouflage-themed cosmetic package to Tata's best-selling compact SUV; and the Punch HBX Pack adds an appearance pack to the sub-four-metre Punch. Tata has positioned all three as limited-run festive trims for the Onam window.

The campaign covers both ICE and EV models, meaning the Nexon, Punch, Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Curvv, Harrier, Safari and the electric Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Punch EV and Harrier EV are all in scope, though the ₹2.25 lakh ceiling applies to the higher-priced variants where cash discounts and exchange benefits stack up fastest. Ex-showroom prices remain unchanged; the benefits sit on top as festive offers rather than a permanent price cut. Tata has not disclosed volumes for the three special editions or an end date for the campaign, beyond tying it to the Onam festive window.

The Car Jury verdict

The discount headline is the story here, not the badges. ₹2.25 lakh off Tata's sharper-priced ICE and EV models during Onam is aggressive, and it signals that Tata needs volume in a market where Mahindra and Hyundai are eating share. The Sierra Jubilee arrives on the back of the Sierra EV coverage we've already seen from the nameplate, with Rachit Hirani of MotorOctane confirming a full walkaround is already out and Team-BHP promising an objective First Glance.

Faisal Khan of FasBeam reminds viewers the Sierra name is over 60 years old, which is exactly why Tata is milking it now. Our take: buy the car, not the sticker. The CAMO and HBX cosmetic packs are worth it only if the underlying variant already suited you; the real festive win is the cash benefit on Curvv EV and Harrier EV stock.
