Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition Lands At Rs. 36.05 Lakh: Badges, Not Substance
Jeep India has launched the Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition at Rs. 36.05 lakh ex-showroom, marking the brand's 85th year with a run of 85 units. Based on the top-spec Overland trim, the special edition is on sale through dealerships and the Jeep India website, with cosmetic tweaks and Stellantis' CARA AI voice assistant.
What was announced
The Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition is priced at Rs. 36.05 lakh ex-showroom and is restricted to 85 units for India. Bookings are open at Jeep dealerships and via the official website. The edition is built on the top-spec Overland variant of the Meridian seven-seater.
Gold dashboard accents and 85 badges do not fix a seven-seater that has trailed the Fortuner and Kodiaq since 2020.
Exterior changes are limited to 85th Anniversary badges on the front doors and tailgate, gloss-black alloy wheels with special centre caps, and a five-colour palette. Inside, the cabin gets gold-finished dashboard accents and a new ambient lighting package. Optional anniversary-themed accessory packs bundle carpet floor mats, exclusive decal kits, additional ambient lighting and an illuminated panoramic sunroof.
Jeep has also introduced Stellantis' CARA AI voice assistant on the Meridian with this update, supporting voice commands across 52 languages including several Indian languages, and covering navigation, weather, phone calls, music and selected vehicle functions.

The Car Jury verdict
This is a sticker job on a car that has never troubled the Toyota Fortuner or the Skoda Kodiaq at this price point. The Meridian arrived in 2020 as a stretched Compass and it still is one; Faisal Khan of FasBeam is blunt that the anniversary treatment "is not something they had thought about when designing this car back when it was launched in 2020." Gold-finished dashboard accents and 85 badges do not fix showroom footfall.
At Rs. 36.05 lakh ex-showroom, the Overland already sits in a hard neighbourhood, and this edition sits above it. CARA in 52 languages is welcome, but it will roll out to the wider Meridian range soon enough. Buyers wanting a Jeep badge get more car for the money with the Compass, which carries our BUY. Avoid this one.
