Landmark Cars Bags LOI for Second JSW MG Showroom in Ahmedabad

Landmark Cars, the multi-brand luxury and premium retailer, said on Saturday it has received a letter of intent from JSW MG Motor India to open a new MG Experia showroom in Vastral, Ahmedabad. It will be Landmark's second JSW MG outlet in the city and 17th nationally.
What was announced
Landmark Cars announced on 25 July 2026 that it has received a letter of intent from JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd to set up a new MG Experia showroom in Vastral, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The dealership will be Landmark's second JSW MG sales outlet in Ahmedabad and its 17th MG outlet across India, extending the retailer's Gujarat footprint.
JSW MG is thickening its dealer network in strong metros, but the product questions around cameras and long-term reliability are the ones actually shaping buyer sentiment.
In its statement, the company said the move is consistent with its strategy of deepening presence within existing brands and geographies rather than spreading thin across new ones. Landmark noted that Ahmedabad, where it began operations 27 years ago, remains a core market for the group. It also flagged that JSW MG Motor has become a meaningful part of its portfolio over the last few years, and that the new outlet will support the automaker's planned pipeline of new energy vehicle launches.
Landmark Cars operates as a multi-brand premium and luxury retailer, with a portfolio that includes Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Jeep, Volkswagen, Renault, Nissan, Ashok Leyland, Kia, BYD and Mahindra Commercial, in addition to JSW MG Motor. The Experia format is JSW MG's upgraded retail identity, rolled out alongside the joint venture rebranding, and is being used for both existing ICE models such as the Hector and Gloster and the incoming NEV portfolio.
The Car Jury verdict
Retail expansion stories are usually filler, but this one tells you where JSW MG's dealer strategy is headed: doubling down inside strong metros rather than chasing pin-code count. Ahmedabad is a genuinely important MG market, and Landmark, which also runs Mercedes-Benz and Honda outlets, is the safer bet than a new-to-auto partner.
The catch for buyers is the product, not the showroom. Rachit Hirani of MotorOctane has already flagged that "JSW gets a better camera for India because MG's cameras are not the best when it comes to 360 degree qualities," and Arun Panwar has openly questioned whether MG can match Fortuner-grade reliability. A shinier Experia lounge does not fix either. If you are cross-shopping the Windsor EV or Hector, our stance stays WAIT until the NEV pipeline actually lands.
