Renault Duster Crosses 5,000 Sales, Adds 3-Year Free Service Sweetener

Renault India has bundled three years of complimentary service and maintenance with every new Duster purchase under its Discovery Days campaign, valid till June 30, 2026. The announcement comes alongside news that the reborn midsize SUV has crossed 5,000 sales since its March 2026 India launch.
What was announced
Renault India has confirmed that the new-generation Duster has crossed 5,000 cumulative sales since its launch in March 2026, marking the nameplate's return to the Indian midsize SUV market after a multi-year hiatus. To sustain the momentum, the company has rolled out a fresh customer benefit under its ongoing Discovery Days campaign.
Free service for three years is Renault admitting the Duster needs help against the Creta, and it is the right admission to make.
Every new Duster booked and delivered before June 30, 2026 will come with three years of complimentary scheduled service and maintenance. The cover includes labour and consumables for periodic services as per the manufacturer's schedule, which Renault positions as a cost-of-ownership reassurance for buyers wary of the brand's after-sales reputation. The benefit is bundled into the on-road price at the dealership and does not require any additional purchase.
The Duster competes in the hotly contested midsize SUV space against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. The Creta alone clears upwards of 15,000 units a month, making 5,000 cumulative Duster sales a relatively cautious start. Renault has not disclosed a powertrain or variant split for the 5,000-unit figure, nor confirmed whether the Discovery Days benefit will be extended beyond June. The campaign currently runs across all authorised Renault dealerships in India.
The Car Jury verdict
Five thousand units in roughly three months is a modest opening for a nameplate this storied, and the free-service bundle reads as Renault propping up momentum before it cools. The Creta clears that number in a fortnight on a bad month, so the Duster is not yet a category disruptor; it is a value play looking for traction. The three-year service cover is a real saving, probably worth 25,000 to 35,000 rupees, and it neutralises the most common objection to a Renault: after-sales cost. Faisal Khan of FasBeam notes the underlying platform predates the 2026 relaunch, which explains why the brand is leaning hard on ownership perks rather than fresh tech. Our Duster review rates it a BUY, and this offer only sharpens that case against the Creta.
